IoT & Smart Systems
Connected devices, telemetry and the platforms behind them.
An IoT project is rarely just devices — it is firmware, connectivity, a platform that ingests the data, and dashboards people actually use. We build the whole chain, and we design it to keep working when the network does not.
From sensor telemetry and remote control to smart building and industrial monitoring, we focus on reliability, security and the cost of running the system at scale, not just the first prototype.
What we deliver
IoT & Smart Systems
Device & firmware development
Embedded software for sensors and controllers, built for low power and unreliable networks.
Telemetry platforms
Ingesting, storing and querying high-volume time-series data without it becoming expensive.
Dashboards & remote control
Web and mobile interfaces for monitoring fleets and controlling devices safely.
Smart building & industrial systems
Energy, climate, access and equipment monitoring integrated into one view.
How we work
Our approach
- 01
Define
We agree what must be measured, how often, and what decisions the data supports.
- 02
Prototype
A small deployment validates hardware, connectivity and data quality early.
- 03
Scale
Provisioning, updates and monitoring designed for many devices, not a handful.
- 04
Operate
Firmware updates, alerting and support once devices are in the field.
FAQ
IoT & Smart Systems — common questions
What happens when devices lose connection?
We design for it. Devices buffer readings locally and sync when the connection returns, so intermittent networks do not create gaps in your data.
How do you handle device security?
Encrypted transport, per-device credentials and signed firmware updates. Security is designed in from the start, because retrofitting it across deployed devices is painful.
How much does an IoT system cost to build and run?
Several parts add up: devices and sensors, installation, connectivity fees per device, the platform that ingests and stores the data, dashboards and apps, and ongoing firmware updates and support. The biggest lever is agreeing what to measure and how often: a reading every second instead of every few minutes multiplies data volume, storage cost and battery use. A small pilot validates hardware, connectivity and data quality before scaling. After a discovery call we send a quote.
Can you connect the sensors and meters we already have?
Often, yes, depending on what each device exposes: a standard protocol such as Modbus or MQTT, a vendor API or cloud service, or only a local display. Devices with standard interfaces are read through a gateway or controller. Closed devices may need the vendor's cooperation or replacement, which we assess early. Existing energy, climate, access and equipment systems can be brought into one view, and the pilot checks data quality from older devices before anything is scaled.
Which connectivity should we use: Wi-Fi, a mobile network or LoRaWAN?
It depends on the site and the data. Wi-Fi or Ethernet suits buildings that already have the infrastructure. A mobile network, including NB-IoT or LTE-M where an operator offers them, suits spread-out or moving assets and adds a fee per SIM. LoRaWAN suits battery-powered sensors sending small readings over long distances through your own gateway. We choose after testing coverage on the actual site during the pilot, and one site can combine more than one option.
